How do you set wallpaper on the new cricket android?

I just got the new cricket android by huawie, and I try to set the wall paper as a picture I took with the camera on the phone. But the picture always comes out huge. I don't know why the pictures are always blown up like that, am I doing something wrong?
How do you make it so that the picture fits the screen?

Please help!
