how do you save a text sound on the palm pre plus as a ringtone?

my sister just got the Palm pre plus throught verizon and we get our ringtones offline and we cant figure out how to save the text sound as a sound for a ringtone....she will not keep the phone if this isnt possible and she is verry upset with it and id like an answer asap please and thank you

I know how and where to dl ringtones from thats not the issue its HOW TO SAVE THEM from the text itself to the sounds
