How do you restore a Palm Pre?

I have just been bought a palm pre. First of all, when I chose United kingdom as my language, it was getting stuck on "Setting language" I then put United states to see if this would work and it did. It has then brought me to a Palm Profile page. I have my WiFi on in my house, I have created a plam profile but it is saying I am not in a wifi area. Please could someone tell me how to reset or restore it, and does anyone know the problem? Thanks
