how do you reset the password on the samsung alias?

i cant remember my old password n now i cant lock my phone i dont want to go to the Verizon store and get them to reset because i dont want to waste my time there!
pleeeeaaaaaaaaaassssssssseeeeeeee help me i really need it!!
i just want to be able to lock and unlock my phone so if i dont have it and someone steals it they cant use it!!
pllleaaasssseeee help
