How do you reset a passlock module on a 98 pontiac sunfire?

tried disconecting battery to reset this did,nt work ,no power to starter

this should help, but i was specifically told you could not change the resistance of the key by gm.now i did see a way to reset the module here within the last 4 months. dont know if it works, but i do know the info on the link above works.
