How do you replace the rear bumper on a Chevy Cobalt?

I backed into somebody and put some deep scrapes in the bumper, plus its dented outwards. Looks like the whole thing is one big plastic piece. How does it come off and reattach? It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do...replacements are like $100 on ebay. Could I buy a replacement, have a body shop paint it, then attach it to the car myself? I'm somewhat mechanically inclined but have never done body work although I'm convinced this must be a fairly straitforward procedure, I just can't find any instructions on how to do it. Also, how much do you think it would cost to have painted...?Thanks--

just get on the ground and look at the bolts - a little bit of work but you can save a lot. I had this on my toyota camry - installed and painted by a shop $ 650 ouch. - the other driver had to pay.
