Looking to replace the thermostat due to a check engine light. Tried to look for some how-tos or write-ups, but no luck. Does anyone have step by step the easiest/fastest way to do the job? Pics are a big plus. Or if you know a link, that would be awesome too. Thanks.
Oh, and this is not a protege. It's a 4 door sedan.
Thanks but all the research I did, said it's not that simple on the Mazda 3 due to the location of the t-stat as well as things in the way (manifold, ps pump, etc). One very non-detailed write up said to remove the drive belts, and to move the ps pump. Others said to do it from under the car. So alot of mixed information. I'm looking specifically for a Mazda 3 owner that has done it themselves.
