How do you remove the top and/or bottom bars on Treo Windows mobile 5?

When I try to play a game on my Treo some of the game is hidden under the game bar at the bottom of the screen. Making it impossible to play games like tetris or breakout. If I could remove the top bar, the one that has the windows logo and battery level the the game should fit.

Any help would be great. Thanks
