It had to happen. A few friends over, good food, nice wine and then disaster. Can anyone suggest how to clean the leather. We immeadiatly spunged the spot with water but there is still a mark left which will not come off. Thanks for any help.

A leather soap or saddle soap might remove the spot but I fear you have permanently stained the leather. Go to your local leather furniture retail and see if they sell a product that will dye the spot back to your white. You may also see if a local leather company might have a dye product.

You have what is known as dye transfer. A leather cleaner like Maxi Cleaner may work. If this is not successful you will need to have a leather technician out who will have stronger products to either remove it or redye it for you.

LTT have technicians throughout the UK who can do this work.

You should also be using a good Leather Protector on a pale leather. This will act like a scotchgard and inhibit dye transfer and make cleaning easier.
