I've read the manuals and searched the internet, but I still can't manage to get the spare tire off the bottom of the car. Are there any tricks that I'm missing? Please help.
The spare tire on the caravan is locked into place on the bottom of the van by 5 lugnuts and a spring loaded locking device. Sipmly remove the 5 lugnuts with a tire iron, then pull down to attempt to release the tire. It will come down an inch or so. That will allow you to sneak your hand up and press the latch that will release the tire from it's holding place.
