how do you remove a one piece seat off of an '06 Honda Shadow Spirit? I need to get to..

...the battery. ? Everyone keeps telling me it should have a screw on the back of the seat and 1 on each side--i can't find any of them. it's a one piece seat for the rider and passenger together. I lost the owner's manual and don't have a clue.
 
It isn't that hard just a couple of bolts if I remember correctly. Call your local stealer and ask they should be able to help you.
 
First thing you do is purchase a service manual for the bike. Clymer sells them for your bike for about $22.72 + shipping.

Once you get your manual, you open it to the table of contents.

Find the chapter in the manual that pertains to battery removal.

Follow the step by step detailed instructions for battery removal. These detailed instructions will include procedures to remove the seat or any other panels to get to your battery.

I got a Clymer manual for my bike. It was the best $25 I spent on my ride.

This manual will pay for itself the first time you use it.

It will tell you how to correctly perform just about any maintenance task on your bike.

You will no longer have to depend on strangers on the Internet to tell you how to work on your bike. You will also no longer have to worry if this information that these strangers on the Internet is good information or B.S.
