Hi, I live in the NYC area and have a "Dumb" question regarding IO Cablevision and recording those 100 series stations onto my VCR/DVD combo.
Basically this all happened when I tried to record something off of A&E. It's like a regular channel number (like 46 or something), but my VCR/DVD wouldn't pick it up. I found out that certain channels only work via the Cable Box and won't appear if you plug the cable straight into your TV. Is there a way to get these types of channels and those over 100 to be recorded onto to my VCR?
I looked around at other forums but really didn't find a "here's how you do it" answer. Does anyone else have this issue? I have the standard connection: from the Wall to the "in" Cable Box, then the "out" Box to the back of the "in" VCR/DVD, and finally the "out" VCR to the "in" TV.
I'm assuming it has to do with the Digital to Analog and it can't "communicate" if that makes sense. Many thanks again...!
