How do you record Game Play from a TV.?

Ok I need ot know how do you record Game Play from a TV while playing a gaming console.I've looked at capture cards but only one i could find was Dazzle and I'm using Windows Vista Home premium 64bit so it's only compatible with 32 bit.What are other ways to record game play?

Any help and i'll add more details if needed.
