How do you read trumpet tabs?

I'm very much a beginner trumpet player (only got my trumpet last night). experienced Trumpet players, could you explain to me how to read tabs? here's an example of a song i'd like to play- the shrew by beirut. what do all the number and letters mean? I'd like to play the horn part on the trumpet, is that possible? could you translate it into notes so I can play it?
