Long Way To Happy

Men are always telling me to smile.
One time I had an excruciating headache and could barely hold my head up, so of course I didn't have a happy look on my face. While I was in line at a Chic-fil-a waiting for my food, the manager saw me and told me to smile. I asked myself, why should I go out of my way to explain to him why I am not smiling.
Another time I got on a bus and the bus driver said to me "Your face is tight." I asked him to repeat himself and again he said "Your face is tight." Mind you, I had just come from the dentist where I had to have my crown replaced. If you have ever had any extensive dental work done then you know that your mouth has to be numbed up really good. The left side of my face was pretty darn numb so there was no way I could properly form a smile if I wanted to. Again I thought, why should I have to explain myself to people on why I am not smiling.
How do you deal with men who command you to smile? I naturally keep a neutral expression on my face but for whatever reason this doesn't seem to fit too well with other people even though they probably couldn't care less about how I feel.
