...ranger? i don't know where to get the power from because i don't want to run a wire from the battery to the switch then to the lights? and if i need any relays? and where to ground it

You dont need to run it to the switch. You can tap the positive from the fog lights into the positive for the headlights, so when you turn the headlights on, it turns the fog lights on. Make sure you have a fusible link in your hot wire for the fog lights.

for a ground, just trace the ground from the battery and use that.

The use of a relay will keep your heavier wiring down to a minimum and significantly reduce the current through the switch. You can either ground the lights through a relay or feed 12 volts to them - what ever is easier for you and produces the least amount of wiring and the simplest design.
