how do you put a jeep into 4 low?

i just got a 1998 jeep grand cherokee limited. its all time 4hi with a lever for 4hi neutral and 4 low. i was wondering the right way to put it into 4 low because i know you have do something with putting it to drive to neutral to 1st but im not quite sure how. thanks for the help

Put the car in neutral, put it in 4 low, then put the car back in drive

Neutral, then put the jeep in 4 low then back to drive, and you all ready to go
