How do you put a blu-ray digital copy on a Sprint EVO cell phone?

How do you put a blu-ray digital copy on a Sprint EVO? I asked the guy at the sprint store this and he said it couldn't be done. I've heard of people doing this before, something about compressing it or changing the format, but I'm not sure. Could someone explain the process please?
