Invest in a brush called a furminator. This is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
If it were me I would get the kit it coems with a metal brush, rubber nubbie brush for bathing, a towel, shampoo and conditioner. It is $60 but I Love it and the cats love it as well.
I brush 3 times a week for 10 minutes each time on each of my four cats. Yes that's lots of brushing my kids help too. The first few times you will get enough hair to really make another cat or two.
The more you brush the less will come out and the cleaner your house will stay and the cleaner the filters on the AC unit will stay. Really $60 for lest dusting and less cleaning. I am all over that. The purple one is for cats.
