Try this to reprogram the keyless entry remote.Start with these conditions.All doors closed and locked,driver's door unlocked.Do not allow more than 10 seconds to elapse between the following steps.
1.Insert and remove the key into the ignition cylinder twice.(do not turn)
2.Open and close driver's door twice.
3.Insert and remove key into the ignition cylinder once.
3.Open and close driver's door twice.
4.Insert key into the ignition cylinder.(do not remove)
5.Turn ignition on and off once.
6.Remove key from ignition cylinder.
(at this point the vehicle will honk twice and/or doors will lock and unlock twice by itself)
7.Press both lock and unlock buttons on your remote for 1 second.
8.Within 2 seconds press lock button on your remote for 1 second.
(vehicle will honk once to confirm remote programming.)
Open and close driver's door to exit add remote mode,check remote operation.If you do everything correctly,this will reactivate your keyless entry remote.If it doesn't work,then you will need to take your vehicle to the nearest Toyota Dealership for further diagnosis.Good luck.
