I'm trying to paint a black spiral on the spinner of a 1:32 scale FW-190 by wrapping tape around the spinner and painting over, but some parts of the tape keep coming off the spinner. I don't know if I'm using the wrong tape, or I'm cutting the tape at an incorrect shape (I cutting a wedge shape). The spinner is 1 inch in height from the base to the tip and 1/2 inch in diameter at the base.
