how do you open a torrent after you've downloaded it onto bittorrent?

i've tried double clicking it, force starting it, and all that. but it wont start. i tried downloading the LoL in beta version which is a game for my mac. does having a mac make it impossible to open and use torrents? cuz i cant run LoL from my mac cuz macs are macs.
 
haha take it easy. do you have a program called utorrent?
if not, then go and download it. (it's not that big, not even 5 mb and it's free)
And open what you've downloaded with it
