How do you move a GBC/GBA rom with a flash drive to another pc with all of

the saved data? To be more precise, I downloaded like 2 roms onto my laptop along with an emulator. I saved them to a flash drive so that i could play the roms on other computers without having to start over on them, but everytime i extract them to another computer's desktop, the data is all gone, even with the .sav and .sgm files. The game is still there, but its data is missing. What am i doing wrong?
