[The Answer Man]

Always On My Mind

Thank You Lord for what you have done
You've died on a cross
That we may overcome.

When I think of what it is
That You went through
I want to know what I can do
To alleviate your suffering
And Your pain
Maybe its bring my self
Back to You again.

No, not maybe, thats the thing,
I have to give back
What my selfish self can bring.

Your sacrifice so great and incomprehensible,
And the blood You shed so indispensable.

The blood that cleanses and sets us free
From all our sins and iniquity.

Sometimes I think
I can't approach that cross
With all my sin and imperfection
But You bid be draw near or I shall be lost
"Come here, my child, fear not rejection"



The extent of the torture which you endured
To ensure that we would not be blind
That all creation may ever be cured
Your grace and salvation that we may find.


Let us always keep in mind
That day so real,
Burn it in our souls,
The salvation plan that was revealed
As those large and cruel nails did bore their holes.
