Hi i dont know how to lift the sterring wheel higher on my trek 4100 it is about 5 years old but im sure it doesnt matter and will be the same on all treks any ideas i have tried using an alan key to loosen it from the top but it just pulls out a screw that does nothing.

Thanks

take it in to a shop have a stem with more angle put on. it's aheadset stem they don't just raise up like the old quill style. that srew that does nothing holds the stem and bearings in place.

Bicycles have handlebars. You need to get riser bars or change the stem to a higher one. You can also get a stem riser, it will give you 2.5 inches.
