we have a 1996 1500 dodge truck that the transmission has gone out on it started with the over drive and then it quit pulling at all. we were told that there are 4 different transmissions in the 1996 trucks and that we have to have the correct one. we have searched the transmission for a number and the only number we find is on the bell housing. does anyone know where the number is on the transmission we have a 1996 v8 5.2 dodge 1500
