I just bought a phillips manual hd switcher and am trying to hook up my laptop to the tv. My tv does not have a s-video cable, but the switcher does. I was trying to plug in my laptop to the switcher, and the switcher to the tv, but it doesn't seem like my computer is reading that it is plugged into the tv. Any ideas on how to manually make my laptop read that it is plugged into the switcher to project the picture on the tv? Or another idea to hook up a laptop to a tv with no special input cables besides the video and speaker cables?
