How do you guys feel about the new airport see through security scanner?

I think its stupid that the government is using our tax money to buy these see through security scanners. Security scanners which can see through passengers' clothing and reveal details of their body underneath are being installed in 10 US airports. How lame is that, i know its for our safety but is it really necessary to see right through our clothing. What about the religious people that cannot expose their body. I think metal dectectors and good hands could easily detect a bomb and a gun.
