Just wondering how everyone felt about it.

Can McCain not handle two things at once and fyi where's Bush at he's the one that needs to handle the problem at this point in time dont forget that he is still the president... McCain is weak and scared of Obama

This debate is important. It should be held.

They are trying to pass cover-their-own-butt legislation with our money as fast as they can without debate and without our participation.

The debate is more important now than ever and should be held before the final bill is passed.

McCain is not just a senator now, he should be leading. He will never have a higher pulpit than he will at this debate. 100 million will be watching. Its a time to lead. McCain is shirking his leadership role to cover his own butt.

Appropriate. A President should be able to multi-task and I doubt that the crisis will be solved at 9pm on a Friday.

I think it’s terrible that Barack would rather be at a debate on Friday instead of being in Washinton DC with John McCain helping out on a plan to help the economy.

I don’t now who he plans on debating if John McCain isn’t even going to be there.

Maybe Barack Obama can start over and just debate Hillary Clinton Friday since he didn’t want to debate her moths before he secured the nomination.

I think the debate should go on.

Its funny how people having been saying he would wipe the floor with Obama, yet they take McCain's side with this.

I feel like Obama believes his campaign is more important than the country's issues.

I feel great about it. Neither of them has been involved with the negotiations so far and someone needs to talk to us about what they want to do with our money and what they're going to do to make sure this doesn't happen again.

They're asking McCain to come back so that he can bring the republicans who have the good sense to balk at this plan back into the fold. That tells me something.

I think he did the right thing, and so do most other people:

Obama knows the Dems are in charge there, so things will turn out just fine. Besides, what could Obama and McCain do in DC except inject presidential campaign politics into the discussion?
