How do you get rid of anime sounds when making an amv?

i got a free trial of sony vegas 9 and i just cant seem to figure out how to get rid of the anime sounds
(and why everything is so high pitched >.> ~ )

don't say something stupid like"you should go to there site" (<- already tried~)
