how do you get on xbox live????????

How do you get on xbox live with an xbox 360????????????????????please tell me i'v been trien to get hooked up to it for along time and i heard alot a crap of how to do it and it never worked.. please tell me if you know for sure how to do it.......please if you can tell me everything on how to do it and how much it costs$$$$$$$$$THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I think you need internet cable and depends on where you live about how much it costs.
 
k, heres the process
-get a wireless conection router and hook it up to the 360.(or u can do it directly to ur computer with a ethernet cord.)
-once its hooked up, you can press, connect to xbox live on ur main xbox screen)
- u will need xbox live so u can buy online w/ a credit card or go to gamestop or something
- then put in the code
- and thats pretty much it, hope it works
