how do you get into the pre-ranger program in the army? can i get it in my contract

for when i enlist? i really want to try out for ranger school when i join the army so i was wondering how i get it. because i know if i do the pre-ranger course it gives you the edge in ranger school opposed to those who didn't take it. also do you think i might be able to get it with the option 40 contract?
