In the past I've applied to a few fast food restaurants, but I never got a single phone call. Now I'm in a rut and I'm considering working at a fast food restaurant (I'm thinking Yoshinoya) temporarily, and I'm really curious what kind of things the manager looks for in an application. (Also, what's the interview like and what kind of clothes are you supposed to wear there?)

Well one thing that you do have to get fill out an application, and I think most of them are online, but see if you can get any one in fast food place. Second, stop by the place, that you are interested, and see if you can speak to the manger, and ask him/her what they are looking for in the application. And if you do get to talk to them, and remember I bet that they get pretty busy, thank him or her for their time. Now, I have never worked for a fast food restaurant, but I think that you would have to sell yourself, make your application stand out from the rest. I bet a lot of fast food restaurants gets so many applications from people looking for work, that they can only interview and hire so many people. Also I bet, just like any other company, that you would have to dress nice for an interview, if you are given one. And I bet one of the questions will be, why should they hire you for the job. And even over somebody else, you wouldn't want to interview, or hire a person, that comes to an interview that dress casually, and may even look like a bum.

honest i had the same problem I applied a mc Donald's and never got a call ( and i'm glad of that) they look at the information but one thing they look at is their schedule are they in need of a worker and do u fit their time. One when filling out a application even at a fast food restaurant attack a resume. I notice the jobs I followed up on after a week of applying contacted me back for a interview. Key to remember you want them and you want them to want you. dress as you would any other interview (nice) even if it is a fast food first impression are lasting. are sure they ask the same questions
