How do you get a record expunged for a sex offender? ?

I'm in love with a man who made a mistake. That was 12 years ago. We're trying to move on with our lives and have a 'normal' life, which we deserve to have. I don't even know if it was legal to charge him as an adult that long ago. Where do we start?

i don't think they should ever have their records expunged. a sex offender wounds other people for life, therefore the record of their offense should be on them for life too.

the recidivism rate for sex offenders is over 90%..... and I truly hope that your lover falls in that 10% but the best indicator of future behavior is past behavior!!!!!
