How do you flush power steering unit, ford focus?

What's the best way to flush the power steering unit on a 2007 Ford Focus ZX4 SES? I have read about using a turkey baster to remove the old fluid, put in new fluid, put on cap, start car, turn wheel all the way one way, then the other way. then repeat if need until fluid is clean. is this a good idea or is there a better way.
