My bike brakes are really hard to apply, however the pads aren't tight against the rim of the back wheel. When i put pressure on the lever, it requires a lot of work to bring the bike to a stop, it hurts my hands it's that tough. Is the brake cable too tight or is it something to do with the handle/lever? Please help.
