If it has a large crack or cracks, then it needs to be replaced ASAP, and not from a junkyard....unless you or someone you know has the experience to replace it, it is best to have a professional glazier do the work....check around for "windshield replacement" on the web to get some price quotes. In the meantime, you can try some clear packing tape, just as a safety measure....you may also receive a cite for the broken windshield, so the sooner fixed the better :]
