The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. You usually need to remove the fuel tank to access the fuel pump.
Some cars have an access panel underneath the back seat to access the fuel pump, but this is very unusual.
Most modern cars require a special tool to release the fuel line fittings. You won't get the fuel lines apart without this tool.
Remove the fuel tank in a well ventilated area with no open flames. No smoking allowed in the area. Have a large ABC rated fire extinguisher handy.
It is easier to remove the fuel tank if it is empty or nearly empty. Siphon as much fuel as possible from the tank before you start and keep the gasoline in an approved container.
This job can be an extreme fire hazard. If you are the least bit unsure, have a mechanic replace the fuel pump for you.
