I walked a little over 4 miles today up to the post office and back. I just figured out that I could use mapquest to give me new routes within my walking range. It was almost 40 here which is actually balmy compared to the 16 degrees it has been.

Way to go Delawaregirl. I walked 3 more miles today too! I also put little notes in my kiRAB lunches today. They were thrilled!

I walked 3 miles today. I've been too bah hurabug lately and haven't walked as much. Of course I feel it and don't feel as good when I don't walk. So that is my positive moment for the day.

Anyone want to walk with me tomorrow? Let me know how you do!

Way to go girls......I didnot get to go yesterday :( I am hoping to go tomorrow. It is too cold to walk outside where I live so I have to go to a gym or the college walking track that is indoors. As far as mileage goes, I feel I will be able to walk 2 miles easily. We shall see....I will let ya'll know how far I walk. Keep up the good work.....it surely helps the healing process :)

Hiya backache....

I am going to walk tomorrow. I am going to the gym. I think getting out and going back to the gym will help my depression. And it will help with recovery :) I am not only recovering from the fusion surgery but.....a couple weeks ago....I suffered a set back and ended up being re-admitted to the hospital. Yesterday, I had a appt. with my pain mgt. doc and he told me what was wrong. I apparently am suffering from S1 radiculopathy also. He informed me that it will take at least 3 months for my nerve or nerve root to heal . So, I will have to stay on this pain med for 3 more months. Hopefully no longer than that. My back is feeling betterrrrrr!!!! I feel as if my back fusion is going to be ok. I am happy about that :) I would be crushed if I find out the fusion didnt take UGHHHHHH Ok so enough about my pain issues LOL LETS GO WALK!!!!! I will let ya know how far I walked :)

Did you guys go walking yesterday? I didn't get to go but will today. Hopefully, it won't be too cold. Where do you go walking? How are you doing?

This definately helps walking with others. I walk on a treadmill because I live in snow country and fridig temps. I try to walk for 1 hour a day, which means I walk 3 miles, but it's broken up depending on how I feel. WeekenRAB are difficult because I don't enjoy walking and will use most any excuses to not walk even though it's the only thing that makes my back feel better. My goal for the weekend....4 miles total.
