How do you feel about the openness of lesbians and gay's lifestyle ?

I live in the Metro Detroit area, lesbian and Gay lifestyle is something that is seen on a regular here it is so open that it doesn't phase any of us anymore. My kids tell me how open this is in school .Kids are allowed to be who they are bring a girl on girl date to the prom or a boy on boy date ,nobody gives them a hassle about it.I personally dont have anything against the lifestyle I think people should be able to be who they are where ever. I'm a little confused about my feelings about this because I don't want this for my own kids I think this lifestyle is hard and can be stressful and a lot of times full of drama BUT if this is who they feel they are I would still love them unconditionally. I can speak on this subject because I also went through a phase in my life where I did the lesbian lifestyle for 7 years ,I am no longer into that it got tired and too much drama for me and it was not what I wanted to display to my kids anymore.I do know this is not a choice for some.
