What used to be a free deal for shore bound salt water anglers is now over. Come August 1, 2009 we'll have to pay $9.00 to get a fishing license to fish from shore. To top it off, there's a blue crab closure which is only 9 days long. They say it's for clean up of ghost traps but that in itself wont help blue crab populations which are dwindling down. How do you guys feel about these changes? For me it seems to help the boaters more than the shore bound angler because it has to do with federal laws and Fla. trying to protect them ( the boater) and charging us ( the shore bound angler) to flip the bill. So what say you?
