How do you feel about all of this money and aid going to Haiti when our own

country is in a financial mess? I mean, I truely feel terrible for these people, especially the babies, then a second quake on top of it all? What a sad mess, But they want all of this aid and money going there, which, yes, it's needed, but where is it coming from when we're so in debt already with China?
Seems like this government cares more about Haiti than our devestated souls in New Orleans that lost everything and they did very little to help them. Fema is a total joke, I know from our flood here a few years ago. They paid the CITY instead of us home owners!
 
It only reminds me that the people in charge of the aid agencies are simply trying to prove their worth to their political superiors.

What we need is solutions - if we can't get the aid to the people who need it because of infrastructure problems, perhaps we should consider bringing the people who need it to the aid.

This might strike many people as an illogical and costly decision, but imo it is more logical and a lot cheaper than trying to solve a problem when it cannot be solved without time and physical manpower.
