I told my dad that I will try to attend a university after I get my AS degree from my community college. He's paying for the community college b/c I can't find a job. He says "I can't pay for a University." I keep telling him that there are federal pell grants and other free government money to help the costs of tuition. He says that I won't qualify b/c now he's making a little more. However, He still making less than 50 grand per year. He doesn't understand that I WILL qualify...just for not as much.
How do you explain to a parent about financial aid?
