How do you exercise and diet when you face the problem of irregular and heavy periods?

Every time I go on a diet or whenever I exercise for 3 or 4 days continuosly(like 45 mins a day), I get my periods (atleast a week)early .And if I try to eat less than my normal intake, I experience heavy and prolonged bleeding?I'm 5'6 n almost 80 kilos.someone pls help!
