How do you download tunes for Nokia 6019i without using the easy edge junk..

I have US Cellular as a provider and have a Nokia 6019i. I don't want to pay for the Easyedge service they provide. If I pick up a USB adapter to my computer and download tunes or wallpaper from my computer can I add them to my phone? Please advise thanks.
