How do you download images from links with ".php" in them!?

This is a problem that i have been annoyed with for YEARS! And i figured i'd come on here and see if anyone knew a shortcut!??

Example of a image link with ".php" in it:

http://www.sitename.com/members/content.php?show=file&path=/images/672/imagefile.jpg

If i would put a link like this, in my address bar, and then right clicked the image, it would save as "imagefile.jpg"
But if i try to create a batch download, or even a single download, using the link(s) in a download manager, it screws up and saves it as a stupid "content.php" 2-6kb file.........drives me nuts =\

And being on dial up, going picture to picture to picture 70-100 times [multiple picture sets], and waiting for them to load [they're big!], vs. setting up a list of downloads when im asleep or out, is just a pain in the a**..............

Can anybody help me crack this!???

I'd be INCREDIBLY grateful! <3 <3

First, Colanth - you obviously didn't read my question - for i said everything you said, so therefore that wasn't my question......but thanks anyways?

and to Daniel, yeah i know it's a method to save them bandwidth..and i hate it! hahahaha
So i definitely understand everything you said but if by source code, you mean the page source, there isn't one when i enter the link in............ the right-click menu, AND the drop down menu under "View" both have "View Source/Page Source" greyed out.........=(
