Im going to be in a sax quartet for our UIL ensemble, and ive decided im going to do tenor since we already have two altos. ive been playing alto for about 3 years and im in our wind ensemble band class. Ive been practicing for the past 3 days and everything has been fine, but today, i cant get a note out. i cant stop squeeking, and i cant get to the lower octave without it "wobbling" and basically i sound like crap. im figuring its a embouchure problem and idk what to do. im am pretty sure that my problem isnt with the saxophone, since i rented out a nice new P. Mauriat and im like the first one to play on it. can someone pleaase tell my how to do a tenor embouchure, and how it compares to the alto, or if someone could give me a link to any sites that would be great! thank you
