I have decided theres no way i can handle doing this cold turkey. I should have known i wouldnt be able to.
I just wondered if anyone can tell me how you have the strength to taper off? Its sooo hard for me to not take more then i need to. I know this would be so much better and easier to taper, but like ive said before when it comes to will power im on the zero end of having any. You would think that i would be able to knowing whats going to happen if i just take em to get high and not use them to get thru the wd's and to taper off. But i cant...if i have em im taking em. I was going to leave em w a friend but she also has a problem so when it would come to getting them back im afraid they would be gone.
So if anyone can give me any advice i would be so grateful. I feel like im just going in a circle. :dizzy:

Tapering is a long, slow process that allows your body to get used to the lower dose before moving on to the next lower dose. Dropping 10-20% at a time will be easier for your body to adjust to the lower dose over time. Your brain and body chemistry has been altered from taking the drugs and they need to rebuild and get used to the drug not being there. Especially if you have been on the drugs for long period of time. Just take baby step in the beginning and don't listen to the drug talking to you to convince you otherwise. When you say "I just can't do this," that is the drug talking to you. You have to be stronger than the drug and YES it is and will be difficult.

Do a search on the board for a post that I wrote during my detox period when I was in my withdrawal phase - it's called "Hello, My Name is Oxy" To me, it explained how I felt and what I was going through and what I would go through for the rest of my life. It's a life-long process to become and stay clean.
