How do you discuss where important papers are for a sick parent?

My father in law has fell suddenly ill and we need to touch on the subject of where he keeps important papers like his insurance information, his will, if he has a living will etc.... What is the best way to approach this?
 
directly you have to get this information before something happen's to him he'll understand we just went through this with my mother in law
 
if he can understand u jus ask him were his personel papers r kept,he will understand,,good luck n pece n love b with u n ure family.and if he has a living will it should b close to his bed.peaace
 
Its best just to ask, explain that you understand that he is ill and that if anything happens you need to know where to find all the important documentation just to make sure his wife and family do not have to worry. And so things can be sorted should the unfortunate happen. I do hope that all goes well and that he will soon be well.
