On the new iMacs, there are volume controls on the keyboard. Is there any way to disable that feature? In my classroom, we have an iMac that we use with a Windows platform. I would rather just adjust the volume with the icon in the toolbar, because one student in my classroom uses the keyboard volume buttons to repeatedly turn the volume as high as it will go (which is quite loud and possibly harmful - it gave me an earache). Any ideas? (Besides telling the student he can't turn the volume up that loud.) I have already gone into the volume control properties and have turned everything down as far as it can go without selecting "mute" - the keyboard volume buttons over-ride everything and the sound goes up as high as possible again.
